Writer – inspired by words, moved by art, fascinated by science
I started my writing journey in healthcare as a pharmacist and medical writer, but I’ve always been drawn to creative writing, nature, and art.
When I rediscovered picture books as a mother, I was captivated by the unique intersection of lyrical language, visual art, and learning.
I love picture books because they encourage curiosity, exploration, and expression. They help us make sense of ourselves and the world and inspire people of all ages.
When I’m not writing, I’m chasing and teaching children, running, or hiking. I always want to know what’s around the corner on the trail and feel most alive and at peace in nature. I live with my husband and 3 children in North Carolina.
